Top 8 All-Time Best Selling Tezos NFT Artists
Bonus: I included their cheapest available NFT in the market in case you feel like collecting
Today I would like to review the top-selling artists on the Tezos blockchain. After all, it is the home of some of the best NFT artists or the place where they started. I want to highlight top-quality crypto art according to the Tezos NFT marketplaces and collectors.
Edit: Most of the highest sales are resales, which means artists got the royalty fee only. To understand what the artist earned, check the mint price.
I followed a simple process by compiling the top 8 NFTs sold by the top nft artists (across all Tezos NFT platforms, including hicetnunc, objkt.com, and fxhash). I didn’t include PFP collections (I will save those for the future). As a bonus, I added the lowest floor piece on the market for each artist if you want to collect some of their more affordable creations.

Here are the biggest NFT artists on the Tezos blockchain…
1. Reachback by Xcopy
Xcopy is one of those OG crypto artists, minting NFTs since February 2020. He has sold over 1900 NFTs, and his art is worth around $50M today. His piece “Reachback” (3 editions) was minted for 5 $XTZ ($20 USD) but sold for 31,337 $XTZ ($125,348 USD) a couple of months later. The cheapest available (floor) is now 13,3337 $XTZ ($533,348 USD).
Although I wanted to share the most accessible pieces from each artist, Xcopy didn’t mint a Tezos NFT since Reachback came to life on hic et nunc.
2. Window Still Life 001 by jjjjjohn
John Karel, also known as Jjjjjohn, can be considered the most famous artist in the Tezos ecosystem. He’s known for his skeles and his windows series. John minted twenty-five editions of his first window (001) for 5 $XTZ each. Until today, the highest sold had a price of 17,000 $XTZ ($68k), and the collection has a floor of 22k $XTZ ($88k).
The good news is he continues to produce his windows series. You can own his Window Still Life 100 for around 4 $XTZ only. Why so cheap? There are 2,500 editions.
3. The burden which is well borne becomes the light by Jesperish
"What it means to be free. When we build our foundation towards eternal happiness, fear becomes light."
- Jesperish
The first 1/1 to hit the list, this piece was initially minted for 12,200 $XTZ ($48k) and hasn’t been sold after. The owner hasn’t made it available for sale, so your best chance is to make an open offer.
Jesperish has only minted ten pieces on Tezos, and the lowest price in the market is 1,250 $XTZ ($5k) for The Galaxy Of Dreams.
4. Garden, Monoliths by Zancan
Finding great success after minting his emblematic Garden, Monoliths on FxHash, Zancan is in 4th place less than two months after releasing his generative algorithm on Tezos. An early collector sold the highest piece for 8,000 $XTZ ($32k), and the collection has a market cap of over $1M XTZ ($4M).
The cheapest available creation from Zancan is named Lusthemples - Heart Shaped (2021 editions), available for 4 $XTZ.
5. Waiting in Afton by M.J. Lindow
Mjlindow has produced multiple iconic FxHash collections. Waiting in Afton is a small collection (for the generative art standards) of 50 pieces - with a whopping 3,48485 $XTZ ($1.3M) market cap. The highest sold up to date went for 7,650 $XTZ ($30,600).
MjLindow has continued to produce generative art pieces at a constant rate. His latest collection, named Kunza, has a floor of 19 $XTZ, very accessible, in my opinion.
6. Heart You #47 by Heartyou
“HeartYou is a project to spread love.”
Minted at 150 $XTZ, Heart You #47 (1/1) was later resold for 6,150 XTZ ($24,600). There are 65 hearts up to date with different numbers of editions.
If you want to own one piece from hearyou, Heart You #26 is available for 89,99 $XTZ (510 editions).
7. RGB Elementary Cellular Automaton by Ciphrd
The founder and developer behind FxHash released RGB Elementary Cellular Automaton for free (minus gas) as the third collection ever minted on the platform. It is considered a symbol in the FxHash community and reached a market cap of 636,900 $XTZ ($2,547,600). Its best sale was closed at 6k $XTZ ($24k), and the floor is 636 $XTZ.
If this seems like a step price, ciphrd also minted a second collection called <iframes> which has an entry point of 38 $XTZ today.
8. Alpha Chromo by Lucréce
The last artist to break into the list is Lucréce, who has been on fire lately after launching his Monsters collection on objkt.com. Besides that popular pfp series, his creation Alpha Chromo sold for 5,500 $XTZ ($22k) 21 hours ago (probably as a reaction to his new pfp collection).
If you want to get one electric object from him, Monster Cake is in the market for 100 $XTZ.
Here is a final recap with all the information I collected. I’m sorry if I missed some artists in the process.
As a closing note, I think it is fantastic to see those below 10 XTZ mints transforming into massive value and becoming popular NFT art (both for artists and collectors). I believe some months down the road, this list will be filled with new faces, or maybe some of the same faces, breaking their records.
Until next time,
